Things to do.

THINGS TO DO BEFORE HAVING A RELAXER APPLIED

* Remove braids a few days before appointment and do not irritate scalp.

* Avoid your hairline with facial cleansers, toners, any alcohol products, creams and lotion.

* Inform you stylist about drug and medications use ( blood pressure, thyroid, hormone replacements, ect.)

* Rinse heavy gel from hair a few days before your appointment.

* Inform your stylist if you have irritated your scalp by scratching or use objects to scratch you scalp.

Things not to do before your appointment:

* Exercise

* Irritate your scalp with a hat

* Shampoo within 72 hours

* use holding spray

* Brush hair or scalp

* Massage your scalp

THINGS TO DO AFTER HAVING HAIR RELAXED:

* Use a satin pillowcase or sleeping cap to bed.

* Have your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks.

* Use a wide tooth comb , combing through wet hair and a leave-in conditioner

* Use a brush with ball-tipped bristles

* Avoid tension when your hair has holding spray or the hair may break

* If scalp is irritated apply Neosporin on the irritated area,

after 2 days shampoo hair and apply Neosporin in the sore.

If there is further irritation please inform your stylist

THINGS NOT TO DO AFTER HAVING HAIR RELAXED:

* Using an overheated curling iron or flat iron

( ceramic are safer for your hair { CHI irons} )

* Using nylon brushes , bobby pins without plastic tips, barrettes or accessories with sharp edges

* Use grease, heavy oils, extra hard hair spray
